The Paradox Of Life

If a person tells u “I am lying”, is he telling the truth or a lie? If he’s telling the truth, then he TRULY is lying so how can he be telling the truth? If u say he’s lying, then he’s lying tat he’s lying which means he’s telling the truth. Either way u see it, the sentence itself is contradictory. This is known as a paradox.

Actually, many decisions or situations in life are juz like paradoxes. How many times in life have u faced a situation where every possible alternative seems to be WRONG? A question in life with no answer? Or a dilemma where u cun satisfy everyone or worse anyone? Facing a crossroad in life where all paths seems to lead to nowhere? Sounds familiar?

Well… Harsh fact of life is : Not all questions have answers, not all problems have solutions. Face it, tat’s the truth. A lot of people like to rack their brains, argue, get all emotionally worked-up, some even fall into state of depression or nervous breakdown juz to get the PERFECT solution to their problems. Well… somebody should tell them to wake up their ideas coz there really isn’t one… Nobody’s PERFECT, nothing’s PERFECT, no solution is PERFECT.

Maybe some would agree tat being PERFECT is abit too unrealistic and would settle for a BEST solution instead. Well… Sorry to say, there isn’t one either. Let me explain… for a solution to be the BEST, tat means it has to yield the best results as compared to the other alternatives. However, u wun know the outcomes of the other possible solutions becoz u nv actually attempted them coz u acted according to ur “best” solution. Tat’s the part abt decision making, u make a decision, u forgo the rest, otherwise it’s not called a decision. So theoretically, there isn’t a BEST solution or decision.

Sometimes, doing the “right thing” can be wrong. Sometimes, u nid to hurt someone to help another. Sometimes, the “wrong” decision can make people happy while the “right” one can antagonize everyone. So who’s to judge wat’s right n wrong? Who’s to decide wat’s the BEST thing to do? Juz follow ur heart, make ur own decisions, bear the consequences of ur own actions n dun regret…

A decision leading to failure may not always be the wrong one, the other course of action may lead u to something worse… U juz never know…
